⏱ 15 days and counting until Prodactive’s Big Adventure 2024 in support of Scotty's Little Soldiers – which means time for another competition! 🏆 We’re now just 15 days out before Philip R. and I embark on our 2024 ‘Big Adventure’ on 8-9 June, which this year is running a lap of the Isle of Wight over 2 days.We've previously run the East Highland Way (82 miles) and the West Highland Way (100 miles – meant to be 96, but we accidentally added on 4 miles) in Scotland.This year we’re supporting Scotty's Little Soldiers, a hugely impactful charity which supports children of UK servicemen and women who lost their lives while serving their country.In the past we have run ‘for the hell of it’, but in line with our mission to help unlock potential and our support for UK Armed Forces leavers through our Smartsheet programme, we wanted to highlight the work Scotty’s does. There is absolutely nothing but goodness here, Rich and Philip!Not only are you both running in support of Scotty's Little Soldiers, but you've integrated another 'smart' contest and ways for folks to get involved.The addition of an informative Smartsheet Dashboard with news and updates is an interesting bonus!

    In addition to helping organisations across the world transform execution and unlock potential in their results and their people through the power of Smartsheet, at Prodactive we are running a programme in partnership with TechVets and the Forces Employment Charity to support UK Armed Forces Leavers in their transition to a civilian career and unlock their potential.Smartsheet are very generously providing complementary access to the Smartsheet platform for UK Armed Forces leavers for a 12-month period, which eligible people can sign up to within 6 months of leaving or having left regular service.     What does a baby giraffe on roller skates look like? That's how Lee Davey described himself when starting to use Smartsheet, but meeting him last week, he was nothing of the sort!Lee was one of our Prodactive prize-winners who we sponsored to attend Smartsheet ENGAGE London on 14-15 May 2024, having been selected by our independent panel of judges for his entry to our competition.     What a blast of a week at Smartsheet ENGAGE London... what a pleasure to catch up with so many friends from the Smartsheet community, to meet many in person for the first time and to make a whole pile more! And to witness the buzz and energy from people on a common mission to transform execution and unlock potential in their organisations - many undergoing significant personal transformations in the process...If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm guessing you haven't yet witnessed the magic you can do with Smartsheet to accelerate performance, collaboration and visibility...Yet the added bonus for me was to witness the transformation in the Prodactive team as Marce Holzhauzen, Suzie A., Akber M. and Charles McKinney got to experience ENGAGE for the first time and we spend real quality time bonding as a full team along with Fiona Roncal and Philip R., and coming away with our passion to unlock potential in others amplified, our shared values clearer than ever, and our commitment to continue to 'be more pirate'... What a fitting end to the event than to head down the Thames at high speed on a rib with the team!     30 days until Prodactive's 'Big Adventure' 2024 on 8-9 June!! And this year we're delighted to be supporting Scotty's Little Soldiers, a hugely impactful charity that supports children of UK servicemen and women who lost their lives while serving their country.At Prodactive we like to do an annual adventure that stretches us... this typically involves combining running long distances and Smartsheet, which are shared passions for Philip R. and me. People usually ask who we are raising money for and the answer is typically "nope, we're doing it for the hell of it..."But that's not good enough... We firmly believe in supporting people to achieve their potential and that's what we do day-in-day-out at Prodactive through Smartsheet. In line with supporting UK service leavers through the Smartsheet for Armed Forces Leavers Programme we launched last year, we felt our Big Adventure was the perfect way to show our support for Scotty's.So what's the plan? Having headed to the wilds of Scotland to run the East Highland Way (82 miles) and West Highland Way (96 miles) in previous years, this year we're headed to the Isle of Wight to run a lap of the island, which is 70 miles. This time we're not carrying our 10kg packs and running self-supported (with tents etc), as we're being joined by the wonderful Fiona Roncal and Suzie A., although they have decided to support us from a car rather than run, but it's still a hefty challenge as we've allowed ourselves 2 days, rather than 3 days for the event.We've set up a dashboard (using Smartsheet clearly) if you're interested to find out more and how much or little training we've been doing compared to previous years. https://lnkd.in/ePSF2B-GWe've also set up a JustGiving page if anyone would like to show their support for Scotty's and our challenge. https://lnkd.in/ev9aFkcbWe'll also be running a competition to predict our total running time like last year - so more on that to follow!If you're on or near the Isle of Wight that weekend or would like to join us for some (or all) of the run, let us know!
