Greetings Jello lovers 👋
Today's recipe, like so many recipes on my site, is brought to you by the classic 1960s recipe book, Joys of Jell-O. Oh, the things they used to do with lime Jello! But fear not, I'm not going to ask you to make a lime-flavored salad with shrimp and radishes and lord knows what else submerged in it.
No, my friends, we are going to make something quite different.

No, this is a recipe for Keto Key Lime Jello Whips, a light, and airy low carb treat.
It's based on a popular recipe for Jello Yogurt Whips. It’s a simple 2 ingredient dessert that you literally just “whip up”. A Jello whip is just yogurt or cream whipped into Jello, and today's recipe adds some cream cheese and sweetener.
It's a total yum, so let me show you how to make it.

🥣 Ingredients
Sugar-Free Lime Jello: This is the star of the show, but you can use any flavor of Jello that you like. And if you are concerned about the artificial sweeteners used in Jello, then you can try the GramZero brand of flavored gelatin which is naturally sweetened with stevia.
Plain yogurt: Use full-fat whole milk yogurt if you can find it because it's a Keto recipe, and we like our fat. Non-fat yogurt works just as well though. There are Keto-friendly brands of yogurt on the market as well.
Cream cheese: Ditto with the cream cheese. The standard form of cream cheese is full-fat though, so finding it is less of a concern.
Sugar-free sweetener: You can use any granulated sugar substitute like allulose, xylitol, or erythritol for these Keto Key Lime Jello Whips. I am partial to Swerve Granular because it is nearly indistinguishable from sugar.

❄️ Storage
These Keto Key Lime Jello Whips will hold their shape in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. After that, it gets a bit dicey. But you are sure to eat them before then because they are awfully tasty.
💬 Any Questions?
Where did this recipe come from?
It's based on a mash-up of a couple of recipes from the 1960s editions of Joys of Jello. It's a "Seafoam Salad" and also a "Jello Whip". But like I said, lime Jello-based salads often involved unspeakably gross ingredients, so we won't be going there.
Can you use stevia in these Jello Whips?
You can, but I do not recommend it. Stevia has a very distinctive taste that I don't think anyone enjoys. Stick to xylitol, allulose, and erythritol and you'll do better.
How many carbs are in Sugar-Free Jello?
The beauty of Sugar-Free Jello is that it has no carbs at all. Nada, zilch. It is one of the few truly zero-carb foods. That's why I use it so much in my Keto cooking.

And that, as they say, is that.
Soon you’ll have a creamy, fruity, whipped dessert with only 88 calories and 2g net carbs. So thanks are due to the hallowed Joys of Jell-O. And don't forget, when in doubt...
Just gel it!

Delicious. I added a little fresh lime juice and some grated zest and put it on a low-fat graham cracker.
