Father son day out Ian Atkins at Tottenham v Inter Milan.Great to catch up with Stefan De Vrij after the game. Dad has worked and mentored Stefan since 2014 when he played for Feyenoord; it’s great to see the hard work paying off now that he’s with Inter Milan.Always great to see you! A real humble and down to earth professional 😃👍🏼

Normal pre season then. Premier league to be no different the top six identified after 10 games top three by 20 and two fighting it out to the end. Isn't there anything we can do to make it a little bit more watchable?Good luck for the new season, but please, don't beat the Arsenal (by too many).

Absolutely delighted for my client Thierry Small after his recent move to Charlton Athletic. Not only for the fact that he’s playing regular first team football, but for the fact hes now settled after 18-24 months of ups/ downs, uncertainty and a lack of game time..Both myself and Ian Atkins have had the privilege to play a small part so far in Thierrys journey both from a physical/ technical point of view but also from a physiological and mentoring point of view (when Thierry has wanted an opinion, some advice, someone to speak to when things haven’t always being going smoothly, an arm around the shoulder and some quality guidance)Since Thierrys arrival at Charlton Athletic, they are undefeated in 6 games having played the top 3 clubs along the way. He’s been on the scoresheet once and assisted 2 goals. Just remember; football is a game of opinions. Not everything always will be smooth on the route to success. Surround yourself with people who can help you and want to see you progress and do well.Massive thanks to Ian Atkins for your expertise, guidance, unmatched level of football experience and knowledge to help not only myself continue to grow and develop as a person/ coach but the countless hours you spend helping our clients.

February half term sessions and dates, now available..By linking the technical masterclass and games programme together; I’ll be coaching all players to further enhance their technical toolbox whilst observing them transfer skills, and techniques into a small sided games programme..Having worked as a technical and physical coach, in player recruitment and as a first team scout over the last 15 years, I know/ have seen there are players/teams that do little / to no technical practises. To maximise your potential as a footballer, be bi-laterally developed, be able to pass, receive and move in a variety of ways, you have to be working on your technical development..Spaces and availability are limited per age group. To secure your space please contact me via message/ email.📍Solihull, Birmingham I look forward to seeing you there.

After the success and continued growth of my Wednesday evening ‘Let Them Play’ small group training session, I am delighted to announce another day for weekly group sessions.Sessions based in Solihull, Birmingham. Throughout 2023 I have had 6 players go into professional academies at different age groups, which has been a great achievement. With the continued support, guidance and experience of Ian Atkins the sessions over the last 18 months have been a huge success with great feedback from both players and parents alike. Absolutely delighted for my client Calum Scanlon on making the first team match day squad for the first time yesterday in the Merseyside Derby.I worked with Calum for 6-7 months prior to his transfer from Birmingham City to Liverpool. A humble, grounded, hard working individual who wanted to do extra work away from his club, on specifc areas of his game to further enhance his development.I still keep in regular contact with Calum and I’m so pleased to see how well he’s been progressing over the last 2-3 seasons. He regularly trains with the first team and is a regular with England at various age groups. This is just the start of what I believe will be a fantastic career for Calum. Both myself and Ian Atkins look forward to seeing Calum’s continuous progress.

Growth and expansion ⚽️Another group has now been added at 18.30. This now allows some of the players to continually stretch and challenge themselves furthermore in an age appropriate group..The three sessions will now allow a smooth transition and pathway into a more advanced group ,with sessions that are based on current stage of development rather than age. .Numbers per group and capped at 8-9 players to two coaches, you can get an idea of the attention to detail that goes into every session to make continuous improvements to each players development. By using out unique ‘guided discovery’ approach to coaching, the main focus is always about each player being able to:• Play with a sense of freedom• Be very creative• Think/act independently• Problem solve• Work towards technical excellent • Encourage bi-lateral development.Over the last 12 months the players have been able to learn, explore and over a period of time transition what they have learnt into 5v7, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 games.💥This has led to several players being invited into clubs such as: WBA, Wolves and Birmingham City, Walsall and Burton Albion..If you’re wanting to further enhance your development as an aspiring footballer, get in contact for more info..Just want to thank RORCON LIMITED for their sponsorship. They have been brilliant and shown a real interest In the development of the players that we’re coaching at Peak Performance.

Back by popular demand! 💥.Delighted to announce 2 more dates in August for the upcoming 3v3 ‘The Revival of Street Football’ Tournaments..After the feedback I received after our very first tournament, both parents and players requested I delivered more. .The 3v3 games have different pitch layouts and are different sizes. This encourages all players to think about the different ways they are going to gain success. The small numbers per team allows all players to constantly be involved in every game. More dribbling, more skills, more tricks, more 1v1 encounters and plenty of goalscoring opportunities..The tournament is very much centred around a player led approach to learning and developing. This is encouraged through freedom of play, ability to take risks and try skills/ tricks and players making their own decisions to gain successful outcomes. .To secure your space please email (link in bio) or message me your child’s:• Name • Age• New age group as of 23/24 season• Current team playing for (if any)I look forward to seeing you there ⚽️

3v3 The Revival of Street Football. What a day! What a turnout!.Different pitch layouts, different pitch sizes.0 goals, 2 goals, 4 goals. Why?All part of the unique player development experience that I offer at Peak Performance..Players have to think independently to gain successful outcomes. Different games/ pitch layouts encourage a different array of skills. • More 1v1 take ons• Identify when to play / move• Ball manipulation/ skills • Quick/ decisive decisions making in tight spaces/ under pressure. It’s how young aspiring footballers learn…• Through play! • Through expression! • Through creativity!THIS IS FOOTBALL!Opportunities to learn, players will make mistakes, courage to try again, then comes success improve confidence/ self belief. It’s all part of player development!📆Next 3v3 tournament in August?Who’s in?

Proud beyond belief 💫.This weekend I took 20 players to the 3v3 tournament in Evesham, where for the first time ever I entered five teams to play as ‘Peak Performance’. To say i was proud was a huge under statement. These boys/ girl aren’t a team that play games in a league, they come together from various grassroots clubs to train with me on a weekly basis to further enhance their potential as footballers..U7s - Reached the Quarter Finals U8s - Reached the Semi FinalsU9s - Reached the finals U11s - Group Stages U12s - Reached the Quarter Finals A huge thankyou again to RORCON LIMITED for your sponsorship and providing the players all with brand new kit.
