British model and actress Cara Delevingne has made a rare comment on her relationship with musician Minke, whom she’s known since high school. The two have just celebrated their two-year anniversary, but have known each other since they were teenagers.

“Two magical years with you and so many pictures of us kissing in front of things ❤️,” Cara began an anniversary tribute on Instagram. “These past two years have been A LOT of life. A lot of change, growth, pain and most importantly LOVE and I am so lucky to have found the perfect person to ride life’s ups and downs with.

“I cannot imagine living life without you. I spent so long looking for my partner in crime, little did I know that it would be someone I went to school with (and had a baby gay crush on). Cara, 31, has previously opened up about struggles with substance abuse, and how her girlfriend helped her stay accountable during the early stages of her “healing” journey.

It seems she’s officially found her one true pairing, crediting Minke with the reason last year was “the best year I’ve had so far.”

‘My girlfriend has been really wonderful in introducing me to a lot of things and people,’ she told ELLE UK, adding that, “being with my girlfriend, in this relationship, there are just so many things that came at once that have made me so happy and comfortable with who I am.”

Thirty one-year-old singer Minke, whose real name is Leah Mason, is a multi-instrumentalist musician hailing from England.

Even before the Planet Sex star confirmed her relationship with the songstress, the pair made headlines after they were papped locking lips on holiday in Portofino in 2022. We guess you could really say the duo were living la dolce vita and we don’t blame them.

The singer, who has an average of 340k monthly listeners on Spotify, describes her sound as ‘blues-mets-pop’, which is apt considering her stage names come from one of the biggest whales in the deep blue, the Minke whale.

While most celebrity couples tend to meet at an industry event, Minke and Cara have a very special meet-cute which harks back to their childhood.

The pair met when they both attended the prestigious private boarding school Beadales in England.

The couple weren’t exactly high school sweethearts, Cara cites a chance reconnecting at an Alanis Morissette concert over a decade later for rekindling the relationship. Now isn’t that ironic.

The relationship comes two years after Cara broke up with actress Ashley Benson. The Pretty Little Liars alumni is currently dating oil-tycoon heir Brandon Davis.

In 2022, following her breakup with Benson, the actress got candid about the role her internalised hom*ophobia played on her mental health, describing her upbringing as “isolating” as a result of her being queer.

Speaking to Gwyneth Paltrow on her Goop podcast, the star explained how she felt “disgusted” by being queer.

“I do correlate the massive depression and the suicidal moments of my life [to that] because I was so ashamed of ever being that. But actually that was the part of me that I love so much and accept,” she said.
